Dermal fillers are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, contour and create volume, and to revitalize the skin. Dermal fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid which is a substance that naturally exists in your body.
Dermal fillers work by boosting the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid. It is a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilized, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body.
Fillers revitalize and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look.
They are long-lasting but not permanent.
The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and can last from 6 months to 2 years.
How can fillers enhance your appearance:
At Celsius, we use hyaluronic acid-based facial fillers (in the Restylane and Juvederm product lines) in a strategic and customized fashion to turn back time, minimize imperfections and asymmetry, and add volume exactly where it is needed. Since hyaluronic acid is a sugar that is naturally found in our bodies, this product yields immediate results that can last for up to a year and absorb naturally into the skin.
Patient must be over 18 to receive injections. We cannot treat patients who are pregnant or nursing. We cannot treat patients within 30 days of major dental surgery. Please eat before your appointment. We recommend you do not take any blood thinners, including drinking alcohol, 24 hours prior to treatment as this can promote bruising. If you are prone to facial cold sores, we recommend taking Valtrex or something similar for few days prior to treatment.
The treatment is performed by a physician assistant. Immediately after treatment, you may experience swelling or bruising that should subside within a few days.
Dermal fillers must not be administered if you have had any vaccines, immunizations, procedures, illnesses, or dental work in the past two weeks and for an additional two weeks after fillers.
Do not use dermal fillers if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any of the ingredients, suffer from any neurological or autoimmune disorders, are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, or have any active inflammatory processes (cysts, pimples, rashes, hives).
To minimize the chance of bleeding or bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood-thinning medications and supplements for one week prior to your appointment. This includes over-the-counter medication such as aspirin and ibuprofen. Also avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John's Wort and omega-3 capsules.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours before or after your treatment to avoid extra bruising.
Consider taking OTC Arnica tablets 2-3 days prior to appointment to help minimize bruising
Inform your provider if you have a history of Perioral Herpes to receive advice on antiviral therapy prior to treatment. (Valtrex 500 mg BID, 5 days, start 2 days prior to treatment)
