WHAT IS DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a modern way to achieve exfoliation. It works by using a scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. It not only removes any peach fuzz that is captured by sunlight and flash photography, but it also takes care of all dead skin cells, leaving the skin feeling smooth and looking bright
WHAT IS LED LIGHT THERAPY
LED light therapy is a non-surgical skin treatment that can improve your skin using various wavelengths of emitted light. It works using two main frequencies of light to help you achieve your goals: red and blue light. Red light is ideal for helping your skin regenerate and reduce signs of aging such as wrinkles or age spots. The blue light option is great for benefiting patients suffering from stubborn acne or inflammation

PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Discontinue the use of topical medications or products that may be irritating to the skin, such as scrubs, retinols and acne products 3 days prior to treatment
- Do not wax in the treatment area immediately prior to treatment
- Avoid treatment with injectable neurotoxins (Botox and Dysport) or fillers in the 10 days preceding your facial. Treatment with injectables immediately afterwards is ok.
POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Don’t pick your skin! Ideally, you shouldn’t do this anyway, but you really need to avoid picking at your skin after getting a facial. It’ll be especially sensitive after all the scrubbing, extractions and pore-opening treatments; messing with it some more can cause irritation – and even scarring.
- Wear SPF 30 or higher daily for the next week
- Avoid using heavy makeup. After a deep cleanse, your pores will be more open, leaving them more susceptible to bacteria. Whilst it may be tempting to load on your full-coverage foundation if your face is looking a little red, you should allow your skin to settle. Stave off makeup until the following day, and make sure you’ve cleaned your brushes and applicators thoroughly when you do apply it again.
- Stay away from the gym (and the sauna!). Whilst it’s always good to work up a sweat, you should reschedule your gym session following a facial; sweat can irritate freshly exfoliated skin. Similarly, saunas are a no-go post-treatment. You’ve already been cleaned and steamed; heating your face up and steaming it some more is likely to irritate your skin or lead to broken capillaries..
