KYBELLA

KYBELLA is a prescription medicine used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat below the chin. The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat .When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. .Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

A series of injections will be administered into the fat under your chin. Once prepped, the process may take 15 to 20 minutes. Usually 2 to 3 treatments spaced at least 60 days apart are recommended for the full results. You may experience tenderness to the area for a couple days and notable swelling for up to one week after treatment.
