PRE & POST CARE
PRE CARE
Similar to other injections, it’s crucial to stay clear of any blood-thinning medications and supplements for 7 days prior to your appointment to decrease swelling and bruising. Examples include aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, vitamin E, and fish oil. Additionally, avoid alcohol 24 hours before your appointment as it is also a blood thinner. If you’re prone to bruising easily, consider taking arnica supplements 3 days leading up to your appointment.
POST CARE
Like other injections, you may experience redness, swelling, lumps and bumps, bruising, tenderness, and itching in the injected area, all of which is normal, and can last up to 2 days. You will begin seeing your Skinvive results 1-3 weeks after your treatment, and these results can last up to 6 months.
There is little to no downtime with Skinvive and patients can resume their daily routines immediately after the treatment. Avoid exercising and makeup for the first 24 hours of your treatment to avoid swelling, bruising, and other complications.
