KYBELLA

KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fat below the chin. The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

This treatment is perfect for clients who eat well and exercise, but their double chin does not go away

A series of injections will be administered into the fat under your chin. Once prepped, the process may take 15 to 20 minutes. Usually 2 to 3 treatments spaced at least 60 days apart are recommended for the full results. You may experience tenderness to the area for a couple days and notable swelling for up to one week after treatment.

After KYBELLA® treatment, you will likely have some swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. Be sure to inform us if you develop an uneven smile, facial muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing or injection site problems such as bruising, hair loss, open sores (ulcers), and damage and tissue cell-death (necrosis) around the injection site. Call your healthcare provider if you develop open sores or drainage from the treatment area.
